VIVA-17 Inter-School Basketball Tournament Calendar Announced for 2025
The 17th season will run from July to December 2025, covering 18 venues across India. The event will include both 3x3 and 5-on-5 formats for boys and girls.
Mumbai: The 17th season of the Viva Inter-School Basketball Tournament, organized by the VIBGYOR Group of Schools and Olympia Sportz and Events, has been announced from July to December 2025 and will be covering 18 venues across India.
The event will include both 3x3 and 5-on-5 formats for boys and girls in the U10 to U19 age groups.
FIBA-endorsed All-India 3x3 Tournament
The FIBA-endorsed All-India 3x3 Tournament will begin with Qualifier Round 1 across 14 cities. Winners in the U14 boys and girls (01/01/2012) categories will move on to the national final, which will be held in Mumbai/Bengaluru with all expenses paid for participation.
Champions will receive ₹3 lakhs as the total prize money.
Entry Fee: ₹2000 (For Round 1 only)
Cities: Coimbatore, Mumbai (Goregaon West), Navi Mumbai (Kharghar), Bhopal, Bengaluru (Haralur & Horamavu), Nagpur, Pune (Magarpatta), Surat, Lucknow, Gurugram, Vadodara, Indore, Nashik, and Kolhapur.
Brand Ambassador
Indian basketball sensation Pranav Prince has been announced as the official brand ambassador for the FIBA-endorsed All-India 3x3 Basketball Tournaments.
City-Level Tournament
3x3 Regular
There will also be separate city-level 3x3 tournaments for U10 to U16 boy and girl categories.
Entry Fee: ₹1000–₹1500
5-on-5 Format
The 5-on-5 tournament will be held in Bengaluru, Kolhapur, Navi Mumbai (Airoli), and Pune (Pimple Saudagar).
Categories: U12 to U15 boys and girls.
Entry Fee: ₹1000–₹2500
VIBGYOR VIVA 16: Bengaluru Teams Clinch Top Honours at All-India Inter-School Basketball Championship 2024
Pune, December 8, 2024: On Saturday, December 7, the vibrant plastic courts of Vibgyor School, Balewadi, Pune, came alive with the energy of young basketball enthusiasts. The final phase of the VIBGYOR VIVA 16 All-India Inter-School 3x3 Basketball Championship saw 14-year-olds battle it out for the coveted first-place title and substantial prize purses.
General Information:
The tournament is open to all the schools across India.
Events are open to both boys and girls.
Live telecasts, match results, and media coverage have been planned as a part of this event.
All the participants will receive an e-certificate. Winners will be awarded trophies and medals.
