2023 Youth (U16) National Basketball Championship: Dates Finally Announced

The 38th Youth National Basketball Championship 2023 for Boys & Girls will be held in Puducherry from April 9 to 15, 2024.

The much delayed 38th Youth National Basketball Championship 2023 for Boys & Girls will finally be organized by BFI in association with Pondicherry Basketball Association in Puducherry from April 9 to 15, 2024.

Eligibility: Players Born on or after 01.01.2007 are eligible to participate.

Venue: Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium, Puducherry.

The Championship was originally supposed to be held in 2023 in Didwana, Rajasthan, but was cancelled due to technical and logistical reasons stemming from the contested transfer of power from the previous BFI regime to the current administration.

Thereafter, both the U16 Girls and Boys teams for last year’s FIBA Asia Championships were selected on the basis of direct open selection trials, where States were asked to send their best five players.

The last date for States to send in their team entries is February 25. Interested players will do well to contact their respective District/State Associations for further details.
