Defying expectations, 70th ranked India stayed within single digits of 19th ranked Korea until late in the second quarter. Thereafter, it was all Korea's way as the sharpshooting side kept its foot on the gas for the lopsided win.
Turnovers (24) continued to haunt India for the second straight game. This, in turn, led to a 37-9 points from turnovers advantage for Korea.
India's 2-3 and 3-2 zone defense had no answer for Korea's outside shooting prowess (20/39 or 51.28% 3PT). On the plus side, India did a better job on the boards (50-43) and from the freethrow line (14/18 or 77.78%) compared to its opening game loss to Japan.
