TJBL 2026: Group Stage Delivers Fireworks as Semi-Finals Tip-Off
Several teams crossed the 100-point mark as Telangana's top young basketball talent booked their places in the semifinals.
Hyderabad, June 26: After a week of high-intensity basketball, thrilling comebacks and explosive scoring displays, the inaugural Telangana Junior Basketball League (TJBL) has reached its knockout stage.
The group phase concluded on Thursday June 25, setting up exciting semi-final clashes across the Under-15 and Under-18 boys’ and girls’ categories at the KVBR Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad.

The final days of the group stage showcased exactly why the league has captured the attention of basketball fans across Telangana, with several teams breaching the 100-point mark and individual performances stealing the spotlight.
One of the biggest moments of the tournament came in the Under-18 Boys division, where Warangal Stallions outclassed Ranga Reddy Raptors 117-104 in a high-octane contest that featured relentless scoring from both sides.
Another standout performance came from Vikarabad Mambas’ Krish, who delivered the highest scoring individual displays of the tournament. The youngster erupted for an astonishing 59 points as the Mambas defeated NLG Speed Strikers 90-81 in the Under-15 Boys category.
The Mambas have entered the semifinals after a dominant run which included an emphatic 102-54 victory over the Nizam Royals.
With the group stage now complete, the focus shifts to the knockout rounds, where even the smallest difference could determine a place in the inaugural TJBL finals.
