The First Day of the Rebound Veterans Gathering

Kochi, 2nd July, 2016: More than 200 veteran Kerala basketball players, which included national and international players gathered in Kochi, at the Rajeev Gandhi Indoor Stadium to participate in a gathering that was to celebrate 5 decades of basketball excellence.

Those who assembled for the event, included: Unwin J Antony, Mohammed Iqbal, Sunny Thomas, V Harilal, Leelamma Thomas, Giji Biju Ancy Mathew, Molly Mathew, Sheebama, Renny Harilal, Emily Mathew and also coaches Bevin Chacko Prem Kumar and Sunny Thomas.

To mark this event, a tournament was held among the veterans who gathered.

The Rebound platform is to provide momentum for the celebrations of the 125th "birthday" of the sport of basketball, in December 2016.

The Guest of Honor at the event was Hon. Justice of High Court A M Shafeeque, who is a player himself.
