Babykutty: Host St Ephrem's HSS Mannanam Boys and Little Flower HSS Koratty won the boys and girls' title in the 12th Edition of the St Ephrem's Kerala School Basketball Tournament for Boys and Girls here at St Ephrem’s HSS Indoor Stadium in Mannanam, Kerala.
In an exciting girls final Little Flower HSS Koratty Girls team defeated St Michaels HSS Kozhikode 73-66 in an extra time thriller. The game which started 39-16 in favour of Little flower changed its momentum as Aswathy Jayasankar with 31 points to her credit rose to the occasion to tie the game 58-58 at the end of regulation time, before surrendering to Little Flower. For Little Flower, Aparna Sadasivan was the highest scorer with 19 points followed by Alleena Seby with 17.
Girls winners Little Flower
In the boys' final, after a 2 point deficit in the 1st half, host St Ephremes, utilising their home support, defeated a fighting Little Flower HSS Koratty 66-59. Shiras top scored for the winners with 25 points and India Nelson scored 19 points for the losers.
