Six Indians selected for Basketball Without Borders Camp
Mohammad Ishan is the sole boy from India, joining girls Aanaya Bhavsar, Komalpreet Kaur, Nadar Kaur Dhillon, Sahira Balyan and Muskan Singh.
Abu Dhabi, May 30, 2023 – The 13th edition of Basketball Without Borders (BWB) Asia is set to take place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), from Friday, June 2, to Monday, June 5.
The prestigious camp, organized by the National Basketball Association (NBA), the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), will see the participation of 80 outstanding high-school-age prospects from over 20 countries across Asia and the Middle East.
BWB Asia 2023 aims to bring together 40 boys and 40 girls, allowing them to compete alongside their peers while benefiting from the expertise of current and former NBA players and coaches.
The campers will have the privilege of being mentored by NBA stars Saddiq Bey from the Atlanta Hawks and Monte Morris from the Washington Wizards. Joining them as coaches will be seasoned NBA veterans Taj Gibson, most recently with the Washington Wizards, and Rodney McGruder, most recently with the Detroit Pistons.
