Sardar Dastur are Pune Divisional Basketball Championship 2016

Pune, 12th September, 2016: The Divisional Basketball tournament that was jointly organised by District Sports Office, Pune and District Sports Council, Pune and was conducted at Indira National School, Wakad, Pune, was held from 10th to 12th September 2016.

Sardar Dastur Nosherwan Girls High School (U-14 and U-17 teams) won the championship, making a double championship run this year. Additionally, their U-17 team have won their division three years in a row.

Sardar Dastur 33 (Sudhiksha Kulkarni 16, Akansha Pathak 5, Nidhi Palrecha 4, Sukruti Rashinkar 4) beat Kamal Nayan Bajaj 9 (Sakshi Gawade 4)

U-14

Sardar Dastur 29 (Saanika Kirad 10, Palak Palrecha 9, Vaishnavi Shinde 6) beat Infant Jesus High School 6 (Shruti Vishe 5)

Both the U-17 and the U-14 teams will play the State Championship at Amaravati from the 23rd to the 28th of September.
