Satnam Singh Bhamara needs no introduction to sports fans in India. As the first Indian to be drafted in the NBA, Satnam has created history for a nation known for its cricket-crazy public. For those of you who have just heard about this piece of news, Satnam Singh, from Ballo Ke, Punjab, was drafted as the 52nd pick by the Dallas Mavericks on NBA Draft Night 2015.

Satnam visited India in August 2015 for the first time since being drafted on 25th June and spent most of his time with family. The 19-year old will spend a long time away from home once his assignment with the Mavericks' D-League affiliate Texas Legends begins. On the last day of his India trip, Satnam took the time out to speak to Team Ekalavyas' Vishnu Ravi Shankar about life after being drafted, his future plans and a lot more.
