NBA India signs broadcast deal with Star for 2021 Season

Finally, in a relief to Indian basketball fans deprived of watching NBA action on TV, NBA India has reached a broadcasting agreement - but with Star and not Sony.
This deal, inked ahead of the Playoffs starting on 23rd May (India time), is a welcome arrangement for NBA fans in India to catch the action on their TV platforms.
It is being reliably learnt that as part of the deal, only select playoff games will be broadcast on Star's Star Sports 1 and Star Sports Select 1 networks, along with all Conference Finals and Finals games.
NBA India's Other Distribution Deals
The announcement comes a few weeks after it was revealed that select Women's NBA (WNBA) games will be shown on Amazon Prime.
Earlier this year, a distribution deal was also struck between NBA India and Prasar Bharati to telecast legacy games & highlights from 2010-20 seasons.

Even the NBA 2K League has found a streaming partner in India, when in August 2020, Pocket Aces' Loco was brought on board in a multi-year partnership.
