Mumbai, India: Young Indian basketball players from across the country will get a golden opportunity to showcase their skills at the India selection trials for the upcoming 13th Asia Pacific Cup 2025.
12 July Trials

The trials are open to boys and girls in the U12, U14, U16, and U18 categories, for both the 5v5 and 3x3 formats. The event marks a key pathway for young Indian athletes to earn a chance to participate in an international basketball event endorsed by FIBA.
What makes this trial stand out is the calibre of training, scouting, and coaching that will be led by a former national coach. This will offer participants insight into professional-level play and preparation for international tournaments.
What is the Asia Pacific Cup?
Since its inception, the Asia Pacific Cup has become a key destination for youth basketball in the region. Originally held once every two years, the tournament’s rapid growth has seen it expand to two editions per year since 2024.
The platform now features both 5v5 and 3x3 formats, allowing young hoopers to compete in formats gaining popularity on the world stage.
The tournament also functions as a launchpad. Players selected from the Mumbai trials will have the chance to compete alongside top teams from across Asia and Oceania while also experiencing a FIBA-structured international tournament environment.
Selected Players Fly to Singapore
Players selected through the trials will travel to Singapore for the tournament in October. Each team is guaranteed a minimum of three matches, regardless of results. Participants will face a mix of local and international opponents and have the chance to win trophies, medals, and individual awards, including ‘Top Basket Scorer’ and Most Valuable Player.
All selected players will receive team photos, e-certificates for participation, and water provided during all games. Most importantly, the event offers a genuine platform to get talent scouted for future opportunities in basketball.
The cost for selected players is ₹1,50,000, which covers the full international tournament experience. A flexible payment plan is available.
How Do I Register?
The registration fee for the Mumbai trials is ₹500, which includes a snack box for all participants. With limited slots left, the organizers strongly encourage early registration to avoid missing out.
