Mumbai Basketball: Olympia Sportz launches new U13 development league
BDL is scheduled to take place from August 22 to 30, 2026 at the Indoor Court, VIBGYOR High School, Borivali.
Mumbai’s youth basketball ecosystem is set to receive a boost with the launch of Season 1 of the Basketball Development League (BDL) Mumbai Edition. This initiative by Olympia Sportz aims to nurture budding talent and create a structured platform for player development.
It is scheduled to take place from August 22 to 30, 2026, and will be hosted at the Indoor Basketball Court, VIBGYOR High School, Borivali West, Mumbai.
League Details
The league is designed exclusively for the Under-13 age group and will feature both boys’ and girls’ divisions, with six teams in each. The tournament will also offer a total prize pool of about ₹1.68 lakh.
BDL is being conducted under the affiliation of the North Mumbai District Basketball Association (NMDBA) and the Maharashtra State Basketball Association (MSBA), providing a credible pathway for athletes.

Alongside player participation, Olympia Sportz has also opened team ownership and sponsorship opportunities for businesses, entrepreneurs, and basketball supporters looking to contribute to grassroots development.
