Mumbai Basketball Court Gets Flashy Makeover
Mumbai Basketball Court at St Andrews High School in Bandra was transformed thanks to an Adidas India initiative, by French urban artist Chifumi Krohom in collaboration with St+art India.

Tokyo Olympics medalists Mirabai Chanu and Lovlina Borgohain, along with boxer Simranjit Chakar were present at the reopening ceremony.

Children from Hi5 Youth Foundation (sports-NGO, dedicated to coaching basketball to large numbers of young underprivileged children) were also invited to play an exhibition game.
The artwork depicts a team huddle with hands in varying skin tones, exemplifying the inclusive message: ’We see Possibilities When We Come Together’.

The actual painting of the piece designed by French urban artist Chifumi Krohom, is by artist Avi.
As mentioned by Adidas India, this "powerful canvas...celebrates team spirit, inspiring young athletes to adopt a ‘we over me’ mentality."
This is the second Mumbai basketball court in recent years that has received such a makeover. In 2018, the Hoopers Ground in Matunga too had been revamped courtesy of a project financed by Air Canada.
