Thiruvalla, 14th Febuary 2016: The Kerala State Electricity Board, Thiruvananthapuram came up victorious and will take on Kerala police in both sections here for the 15th edition of the All Kerala Champions Trophy Inter Club Basketball Championship here at the St Thomas flood light basketball ground in Kurianoor.

It was identical in both the Semi-Finals in the women's sections where we witnessed some anxious moments for the states professional sides as defending champion KSEB who were handicapped by their two Internationals Jeena PS & Stephy Nixon, who are in Guwahati were able to defeat a younger St Joseph's College, Irinjalakuda 43-31 while the Kerala Police had made the last shot with 7 seconds left for the final whistle to beat another young Providence College, Kozhikode 55-54.

In the first Semifinal the college girls who lead 18-11 in the first half and lead 25-23 at the end of the 3rd Quarter fail to take this one home as KSEB with their current International Anjanna PG who stepped up as the top scorer with 18 points seal the deal for a final spot. The Second Semi final also had some electrifying moments were Kerala Police Women had to wait till seven seconds left in the last quarter to make the final shot which gave them a one point lead. Kerala Police anchored by International Neenumol PS and Indian camper Athira M lead 27-26 at the half time but the girls from Kozhikode came back strongly in the 3rd quarter to take a lead of 43-42 and kept the lead till 7 seconds to go for the final whistle before surrendering. Neenumol was the top scorer for Kerala Police with 16 points, followed by Surya PR making 10 and for Providence Rhea Rajendran was the top scorer with 18 points.

The Second Semi Final in Men is the only mach of thetournament, which had an easy victory as experienced Kerala State Electricity Board made use of their experience to beat young S B College, Changancherry 52-25.
