Karnataka Sub Junior Basketball Championship tips off

Bengaluru, 19th Nov 2015: The B S Narayan Memorial Karnataka Sub Junior Basketball Tournament for U13 boys and girls has tipped off at the Sri Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru. Exciting matches were played by these young upcoming stars. The sub junior tournament is being conducted by the Karnataka Basketball Association where teams from all over the state participated.

The first round games for the boys were nail biters as IBBC beat Vasanthnagar BC 32-27, after a beautiful comeback from a 9 points trailing differential in the first half. In the girls section, Mysore BC beat Creative BC 19-1 by being the better side right from the start.

Results: Boys: 1. IBBC 32 (Tarun 9) bt Vasanthnagar BC 27 (Rohan 10). HT 9-18. 2. Appaiah BC 46 (Siddarth 8) bt Protec Challengers, Mysore 14. HT 26-4. 3. Viveks SC 34 (Rishi 8) bt Creative, Chitradurga 09. HT 20-4.

Girls: 1. Rajmahal BC 20 (Chahiti 7) bt Vasanthnagar BC 10. HT 11-7. 2. YMMA 20 (Megha 12) bt VNSC 07. HT 8-1. 3. Mysore BC 19 (Anagha 8) bt Creative BC 1. HT 6-1.
