On September 5, the Spring Classic National Basketball Championship concluded at Lovely Professional University (LPU), Jalandhar.

The event was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Sukhpal Singh Brar, an IPS officer, and prominent personalities like volleyball international player Arjun Awardee Gurdev Singh Gill and International football ftar, Retired Aij Manjeet Singh former international coach from Punjab Police, Ashwani Kumar, Deputy Commandant BSF, former National Champion, Coach, and player, along with EPS officials CEO, Dr. Virji Kaul, and COO, Mr. Mohit Singh Rajawat.

Jain Southern Champs beat Patiala Royals 55-45 in the finals

The grand finale was the highlight of the day, featuring Patiala Royals and Jain Southern Champs. It was a nail-biting contest that kept spectators on the edge of their seats. Ultimately, Jain Southern Champs emerged victorious with a score of 55-45, and Aaron Michael Monteiro, jersey number 5 for Jain Southern, claimed the MVP title, capping off a stellar performance throughout the tournament.

Earlier in the day, the semi-finals were a display of pure talent and competitive spirit. In the first match, the Patiala Royals faced off against Hindustan, securing a convincing 70-49 victory. Harsh Rao, donning jersey number 31 for Patiala, was the standout player, earning the title of MVP.

In the second semi-final clash, the Jain Southern Champs dominated SRM Spikers with a score of 79-48. Aaron Varghese Blessen, jersey number 17 for Jain, showcased exceptional skills and was deservedly named MVP.

The hard-fought encounter between SRM Spikers and Hindustan in the Hardline match saw SRM Spikers prevailing 85-63, with G.R. Vishvak, wearing jersey number 10 for SRM, making crucial contributions.

The championship showcased not only incredible basketball talent but also the spirit of sportsmanship and unity among athletes.
