13(!) Indian Basketball Teams in action at Singapore Asia Pacific Cup
An India–Pakistan clash could be on the cards, adding extra spice to the tournament that has drawn nearly 200 teams to the island nation.
Singapore, 2025: The 13th Singapore Asia Pacific Cup is underway from October 22 to 26. Marking an unprecedented moment for Indian basketball, possibly for the first time ever, a record number of private Indian club teams are participating in this international tournament.
The event has drawn nearly 200 teams from more than 30 countries across Asia, making it one of the largest youth basketball gatherings in the region. It features both 5v5 and 3x3 competitions for boys and girls across U14, U16, and U18 age categories.

And among the many storylines, a potential India–Pakistan matchup in the 3x3 U18 Boys category stands out as one of the most anticipated, adding an extra spark to an already electric neighbouring rivalry.
In the 3x3 U18 Boys category, the SportX Titans find themselves in Pool B, while a Pakistani team, ISB Panthers, competes in Pool A. Should both teams perform strongly, fans could witness a high-stakes India–Pakistan clash in the semifinals or finals, an exciting prospect for both countries’ basketball enthusiasts.
