India-Pakistan Basketball Showdown in Dubai
The competition has been labelled as ‘Rival Nations’, with back to back games between India and Pakistan on January 30 and 31.
In a completely out-of-the-blue but very welcome development, teams comprising Indian and Pakistani players are all set to face off in Dubai later this month.
The competition has been labelled as ‘Rival Nations’, with back to back games between India and Pakistan on January 30 and 31.
The games will be live streamed on Freedom Global Sports Network YouTube Channel, the same platform that aired the Elite Pro 3x3 League last year.
India Squad: Zeemam Uddin Zaheer (captain), Tanmay Mali, Aaron Michael Monteiro, Abhyudaya Yadav, Sidheek Razak, Siddharth Singh, Rishi Karani
Pakistan Squad: Danial Mushtaq (captain), Ahad Anjum, Ziad Zafar, Sharyar Toor, Omair Pasha, Asif Iqbal, Hamza
While official confirmation regarding the organizers is still awaited, looking at the India roster and broadcast partner, it can be reasonably presumed that this event is the brain child of the promoters of Elite Pro Basketball League, who are aiming to launch 5x5 men’s and women’s leagues in India.
