Inaugural Victory for Pathanamthitta District Team

Thiruvalla, 10th Febuary 2016: Host Pathanamthitta district basketball won the Inaugural match of the 15th edition of the All Kerala Champions Trophy Inter Club Basketball Championship defeating Kollam YMCA at the St Thomas Flood Light Basketball Ground. Earlier the championship was Inaugurated by Shri Anto Antony, M P (Pathanamthitta) for Pathanamthitta Abhijith came as the top scorer with 15 points, followed by Akhil AR with 14 and for Kollam Rahul was the top scorer with 10 points.

Now, nine teams in the men's section including, Kerala State Electricity Board, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala Police, Mar-baseless College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram, St Berhmens College, Changanacherry, Marian College Kuttikkanam, Kollam YMCA and Pathanamthitta DBA as Customs & Central Excise, Kochi cried out of the Championship in the last minute while the women section will feature teams from Kerala Police, Kerala State Electricity Board, Assumption College Changanacherry, Providence College Kozhikode and St Josephs College Irinjalakuda.
The Champions Club will represent Kerala at the 30th Federation Cup National Basketball for Men and Women will be held at the Goa from 9th to 14th March 2016.
