Goa All-Star Games: Captain Jeshua Pinto stars in Lourdes’ first win
While Lourdes knocked out YMCA Titans 62-39, Sonics beat Slayers 63-40.
Panjim, 12th July 2023 – Jeshua Pinto grabbed everyone’s attention with his skillful and athletic play, on day two of the All-Star Games underway at Don Bosco Oratory.
The tournament is being organized by Knights Basketball Club in association with YMCA.
Playing their first game, Lourdes Basketball Club delighted their supporters – who had turned up in droves – to post a commanding 62-39 win over YMCA Titans.
The grizzled Titans had done well to win their opening game yesterday, but were no match for the young and tireless Lourdes side.
In the other game of the day, the Sonics’ senior club team showed their size and depth, with an equally commanding 63-40 win over Slayers. Sonics’ Big Three of Brandon, Jaden and Arthur dominated the paint, against the smaller Slayers. Led by Abelio’s 15 points, Slayers put together an impressive 16-12 third quarter, before Sonics regained their momentum to seal the 23-point, 63-40, win.
