The FIBA U16 Men’s Asia Cup 2025 tips off on August 31 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, with India’s Young Cagers preparing to battle Asia’s best.
The FIBA U16 Asia Cup also serves as a qualifier for the 2026 FIBA U17 World Cup to be held in Istanbul, Turkey. The four semi-finalists will earn direct spots to next year's tournament.
India U16 Roster
India has announced its 12-member squad for the tournament, featuring promising talent from across the country.

The team will be led by Head Coach Ram Kumar, with A. Suresh serving as coach and Manoj Sisodia contributing as the player development coach.
The squad’s fitness and recovery will be overseen by physio Nitish, while T. Chengalraya Naidu heads the delegation in Mongolia.
India’s Group in FIBA U16 Asia Cup 2025
India has been drawn into Group A, alongside Lebanon, Australia, and Bahrain. The group features a mix of challenging and winnable matchups.
Australia is the defending champion, making that clash the toughest test in the pool.
Lebanon, ranked only a few spots above India, promises to be a competitive and closely fought contest.
Meanwhile, Bahrain sits much lower in the rankings, giving India a strong chance to secure a crucial win in their final group game.
