CBSE Games 2026-27: Basketball Calendar
Check the complete cluster, zone, and national championship schedule for the new academic year across India.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced the sports calendar for 2026-27, providing schools across the country with a roadmap for this year’s inter-school basketball competitions.
The basketball season will begin with Cluster-level competitions in July, followed by the National Basketball Championship scheduled to take place in October 2026.
Schools will compete across the Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19 age categories for both boys and girls, subject to their respective cluster formats.

National Level
The winners from the Cluster Championships will qualify for the National Championship.
The Girls National Championship will be held in Narain World School, Jamuhar, Rohtas, Bihar, from 20–26 Sep 2026, while the Boys National Championship will be held at St. Xavier’s School, Model Town, Bathinda, Punjab, from 29 Sep–October 6, 2026.
CBSE has stated that the sports calendar is subject to change. Schools and participants are advised to regularly check the CBSE Sports Portal and confirm schedules with the host schools before making travel or accommodation arrangements.
