India’s first and only basketball media platform, Ekalavyas, has announced the launch of a nationwide initiative — the “Basketball Teams in India” database — aimed at mapping and promoting basketball teams across the country.
The initiative invites schools, colleges, academies, private clubs, district and state teams, and even neighbourhood pick-up squads to register and become part of a unified digital network of Indian basketball teams.

Speaking on the launch, the Ekalavyas team said:
“For years, India’s basketball ecosystem has been full of passionate teams that often go unseen. This initiative is our way of giving every team — from a school group in Imphal to a college side in Coimbatore — a platform to be discovered, connected, and celebrated.”
The form welcomes entries from all levels of competition, regardless of gender or age category.
Teams simply need to provide basic details such as team name, location, age group, and contact information. They can also upload team photos and share social media links for greater reach.
This marks another milestone in Ekalavyas’ ongoing efforts to build India’s most comprehensive basketball ecosystem, connecting players, coaches, courts, and now — entire teams — under one national spotlight.
