The 17-year-old who is currently finishing high school at The Lawrenceville School, New Jersey, will arguably become only the fourth Indian basketball player in history to play in the elite NCAA circuit. Not so coincidentally, all these four players are women.
Going by her Instagram post, Asmat has been admitted into the chemical engineering program and has asked to report to the University by September this year. It's a typical four-year undergraduate program and if all goes well, Asmat will graduate as part of the Class of 2025.
