All Goa Basketball League: Don Bosco Oratory and Sonics Crowned Champions
The third edition of the U17 tournament concluded in style at the Mandovi river–facing court at the Youth Hostel, Miramar.
Panjim, Goa – November 09, 2025: The Third Sonics All-Goa Under-17 Basketball League concluded at the Youth Hostel in Panjim with three high-intensity games marking the end of the tournament.
Over the course of two weeks of competition, the league delivered fast-paced action, spirited comebacks, and standout individual performances. The final day turned into a true celebration of teamwork, showcasing the basketball talent emerging across the state.

In a tight contest for third place, Loyola edged past Sonics 27 – 22 to claim the bronze. Richie’s 10 points proved decisive as Loyola held their nerve in the dying minutes to seal the win.
The boys’ final was a showcase of passion and precision. The tournament’s unbeaten Don Bosco Oratory, led by an impressive 25-point performance from Avner, overcame a spirited Don Bosco Fatorda 50 – 42 to lift the trophy. The high-intensity game earned both teams applause from the Goan crowd.
In the second final of the day, the Sonics girls’ team capped off a brilliant campaign with a composed win over Don Bosco Fatorda (28 – 18). Kim led the charge with 12 points, steering her side with confidence. Don Bosco Fatorda’s Anora put up quite the fight with 10 pts, but in the end, Sonic’s teamwork triumphed.

Tournament Reflections

Across 35 games and two divisions, the Third Sonics All-Goa U17 League delivered everything fans could ask for: local rivalries, breakthrough performances, and the unmistakable Goan energy.
Despite a few schedule reshuffles due to unpredictable weather, enthusiasm never waned. From coaches on the sidelines to families in attendance, the atmosphere at the scenic Youth Hostel court remained upbeat throughout.
As the medals were handed out, the league highlighted the growing ecosystem of Goa’s young hoopers and their increasing participation at the grassroots level.
