Akanksha Singh Basketball Academy Celebrates Five Years of Excellence with Star- studded Events
The Bengaluru based centre marked its fifth anniversary with a series of spectacular events, including two all-star basketball matches
Bengaluru, India, 23 March 2024 – Akanksha Singh Basketball Academy marked its fifth anniversary with a series of spectacular events, including two all-star basketball matches and a grand award ceremony. The academy, renowned for nurturing top-tier talent, showcased its achievements and honored those who have contributed to its success.
All-Star Matches: A Display of Talent and Team Spirit
The celebration featured two high-energy all-star basketball matches. The first was an under- 18 mixed game, spotlighting the academy's top young athletes.
This was followed by an exhilarating match featuring Senior Athletes coached by two Indian Basketball Legends: SABA Champion and Indian International Player Eudrick Pereira and South Asian Games Medalist and Indian International Player Stephy Nixon.

Senior coaches of ASB Manoj Singh, Puneeth Chandra, James Manuel, Ullas Bilung.
Seasoned athletes of ASB: Kailash Bishnoi, Pavani Sangwan, Urvashi Baghel,
Tavleen Singh, Naomi Lakhanpal, Abhishek Giri, Sanjana Ramesh.
Notable NBA Academy athletes: Harsh Dagar, Digvijay Singh, Brijesh Tiwari,
Jaideep Rathore, Vivek Chauhan and Harsh Tomar
Notable Indian Players Lalrina Renthelei, Dhruv Barman, and Avaneesh Singh.
In a thrilling game that kept the audience on the edge of their seats, the Blue team clinched a victory against the Red team, following an impressive last-minute comeback.
The Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament was awarded to Digvijay Singh Sekhawat from the NBA Academy. The match also witnessed remarkable performances from Puneeth Chandra and Abhishek Giri of ASB.

In an award ceremony filled with gratitude and appreciation, the academy recognized the unwavering support of parents, the hard work of students, and the valuable contributions of partners. These awards underscored the academy's commitment to fostering a supportive community that contributes to the growth and success of its athletes.
Distinguished Guests and Celebrated Personalities
The event was graced by Scott and Chawn Fleming, with Scott serving as the Technical Director of the NBA Academy in India and a former coach of the Indian national team. Additionally, four of the five renowned Singh Sisters – pillars of Indian basketball – were in attendance. The guests included:
Divya Singh, former Captain of the Indian team in the 2004 Commonwealth Games, Assistant Coach at the University of Delaware, and a Coach for India's U16, Men's, and Women's Teams for six years.
Prashanti Singh, a Padma Shri and Arjuna Awardee, MVP of the William Jones Cup in 2010, and a veteran of 14 years on the Indian Women's Team.
Akanksha Singh, the celebrated owner of the academy, Indian Team point guard, and Rani Laxmi Bai Awardee and her husband and co-founder of the Academy Nityn Bulchandani.
Pratima Singh, a Small Forward for the Indian Women's Team with seven years of playing experience for India.
Ramesh S Bulchandani, Chairman of KMB Group and founding member of the Academy.

About Akanksha Singh Basketball (ASB)
Akanksha Singh Basketball has been at the forefront of nurturing young talent in basketball since 2019.
ASB was founded by wife-husband duo Akanksha Singh and Nityn R Bulchandani. Both graduates of the Indian Basketball system with the goal to build an institution to mentor India’s next generation of basketball players to compete on the world stage.
ASB operates out of a state-of-the-art indoor maple wood facility located at the Padukone- Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence in Bengaluru, India. With a focus on skill development, teamwork, and personal growth, the academy has become a cornerstone in the Indian basketball community.
