On 8th December, Don Bosco Matunga (Mumbai) will host an electrifying 3x3 basketball event, catering to both men and women with fast-paced games.
Mumbai, 6 December 2024: AISTS India is organizing ‘Half Court Havoc’ - a 3x3 basketball tournament at Don Bosco Matunga on 8th December. The event promises a day of high-intensity matches in a 3x3 basketball competition designed specifically for semi-professionals in its inaugural edition.
For the men’s division, winners will take home ₹20,000, while the runners-up will receive ₹10,000. In the women’s division, the winners will be awarded ₹13,000, and the runners-up will earn ₹7,000.
When asked about the tournament’s vision and its significance for the Mumbai basketball scene, the organizing team shared:
"Our goal is to create a space that welcomes semi-pro and amateur players—a stage that isn’t intimidating but still meaningful. This isn’t about finding the next superstar; it’s about unlocking potential and building a culture where basketball can thrive. Sustaining interest in basketball beyond a single weekend requires more tournaments, better coaching, and consistent investment in players."
Fans can look forward to action-packed games and an electrifying atmosphere on the courts of Don Bosco Matunga, Mumbai.
