Basketball players across India now have a rare opportunity to compete in one of the country’s most unique locations, with the Sikkim Slam 3x3 Open Basketball Tournament set to take place from March 27–29, 2026 at the Indoor Basketball Court at Paljor Stadium.
The first edition of the tournament promises both high-level competition and a scenic Himalayan backdrop, with organisers encouraging teams from across India to take part. With ₹5 lakh in total prize money, the event is expected to attract strong participation from the growing national 3x3 basketball community.
Importantly for interested teams, today (March 15) is the final day to register at the discounted early-bird rate of ₹3,000 per team.

The tournament will feature separate open categories for men and women.
Men’s Open Category
Winners: ₹2,00,000
Runners-up: ₹1,00,000
Women’s Open Category
Winners: ₹1,00,000
Runners-up: ₹50,000
Additional rewards will also be presented for individual awardees, along with a 2-Point Shootout sub-event for both men and women.

Tournament Format and Participation
The expected structure includes:
Men’s Category
24–32 teams
Top two teams from each group advance
Women’s Category
12–16 teams
Top two teams from each group advance
The event will follow a league-cum-knockout format.
