2025 FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers: Delhi to host India's first home game in February
India's campaign tips off with an away game against Kazakhstan on February 23, followed by a home game against Iran on February 26
As we reported last year, big ticket international basketball action is all set to return to India’s national capital of New Delhi.
The FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers’ first window commences in February this year, and following an away game against Kazakhstan on February 23, India will host its first home game against Iran on February 26.
As mentioned on FIBA.com, the venue has been listed as K D Jadhav Indoor Hall in New Delhi. This will be the first international competitive game in Delhi in nearly a decade. It is pertinent to note that in the last six-seven years - all the international games in India have been held at the Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
India Groupings
Following the Draw Ceremony that was held on September 19 2023, India found itself placed in Group D among Iran, Kazakhstan and Qatar.
India will need to finish among the top two teams to directly progress to the FIBA Asia Cup 2025, or else hope to be among the best six third-placed teams that will then play another Final Qualifying Tournament, following which the top four will proceed to the continental championship.

February 23, 7:30 pm IST - vs Kazakhstan at Republican Velodrome Saryarka, Astana
February 26, 6 pm IST - vs Iran at K.D. Jadhav Indoor Hall, New Delhi
November 22 - vs Qatar
November 25 - vs Kazakhstan
February 21, 2025 - vs Iran
February 24, 2025 - vs Qatar

While an official announcment in this regard is still to be made, it is expected that the games will be broadcast on FIBA’s YouTube Channel, or else FIBA’s official Courtside 1891 live streaming platform.
