2023 National Games, Goa: Basketball teams & dates

The 37th National Games will be held at Manohar Parrikar Indoor Stadium, Navelin. Margao later this month, with basketball being featured in both the 5v5 and 3x3 formats.

The 37th National Games will be held at Manohar Parrikar Indoor Stadium, Navelin, Margao from October 25 onwards, with basketball being featured in both the 5v5 and 3x3 formats.

The 5v5 basketball event will in fact begin two days prior to the official inauguration ceremony, i.e. from October 23, and will conclude on October 28.

Meanwhile, the 3x3 format will be conducted from October 26 to 28.

The top seven teams from the previous 5v5 and 3x3 Senior National Basketball Championship will be participating.

Qualified Teams

Men’s 5v5: Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Services, Punjab, Rajasthan, Kerala, Telangana and Goa [host team]

Women’s 5v5: Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Kerala, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Goa [host team]

Men’s 3x3: Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Rajasthan, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Delhi and Goa [host team]

Women’s 3x3: Kerala, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Goa [host team]
