  Pulicunnu, 6th December, 2016: At the 18th Centenary Trophy Basketball Tournament 2016, hosts St. Joseph's HSS Puliucunnu defeated  St. Ephraim’s HSS, Mannanam, 60-55, to win the championship. After leading 28-26, St. Joseph's beat Ephraim’s 60-55, with Amal Raghu leading the scoring with 25 points. For Ephraim's, Chacko Simon was the top scorer with 15 points.
